Madeleine Design Group was hired to complete a partial interior renovation of a nice family home that was
originally designed to look like a Character Home. Though not old enough for the Character
designation, the home needed a serious update. In particular, the kitchen, a small dark corner
of the main floor, was constructed of cheap material and falling apart.

One of the biggest challenges was opening the space properly, which meant removing a wall
and ensuring proper support of the ceiling. As a result of the wall removal, the ceiling needed to
be replaced, which lead to a happy discovery: extra space in the above!
